Board/Committee Membership in the Coalition is open to all who are willing to commit to ending childhood lead poisoning in Monroe County and agree to follow our Guiding Principles and By-laws.

The Rochester/Monroe County community has rallied to the cause of ending childhood lead poisoning to a remarkable degree. We believe this is true for several reasons: 1) once people understood how straightforward the solution is, failure to act became morally, economically, and politically unacceptable; 2) this is a genuinely non-partisan issue–CPLP has brought to the table the Mayor and the County Executive, lawyers and landlords, families and doctors, and business leaders and workers; and 3) this is one problem we can solve and in doing so realize immediate and tangible benefits.
